The YouMatter Organisation

Every child deserves an equal footing in life.
We are dedicated to championing the rights of students with special needs. We provide equal educational and career opportunities for students with special needs, bridging the divide between mainstream & Special Educational Needs (SEN) students and dispelling common misconceptions of special needs education.

Our Project:
The YouMatter Week 2019 took place at South Island School, raising almost $10,000 to fund a small, specialized SEN school in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This year, we're back with the YouMatter Week 2020. Taking place in October, representatives at 4 different Hong Kong schools - King George V School, Sha Tin College, Diocesan Boys School, and South Island School, will be running the YouMatter week at their respective campuses. We will provide mainstream students with informational sessions on special needs, panel discussions with experts and professionals with special needs, art exhibitions, along with digital literacy workshops for SEN students.
At YouMatter, our upcoming initiatives include facilitating tech/career-ready workshops, creating a parent network and developing a mentorship platform to support students' career development.
