Rubbish, Rubbish, The Treasure Hunt!
The aim of the project is to use all recyclable materials in the school and convert them to something useful and meaningful for use in the school by students. Our project 1) provide aid for students from low-income earner families with opportunities to spend less money on school materials using recyclable materials at schools were possible; and 2) help address the issue in Hong Kong of the constant need for more landfills due to thrown away material that can actually be recycled.
Why?
Environmental problems are getting more and more serious. We can reduce the pollution by using the 3R Principles (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle)
Why?
Poverty is also an co-current social issue in Hong Kong. Other than donating money to the poor, we can also create something for them to use
Why?
Connecting with the community is very important. We can be more aware of the people surrounding us, and try our best to help if needed.
Our Project
Our team will bring more awareness on recycling and environmental protection to the school to support students from under privilege families and help re-enforce the importance of recycling and re-using materials.
