Our aim is to provide reusable cloth pads to women in poverty and refugees, and to combat the issue of period poverty with the use of sustainable period products. Menstruation is seen as a taboo and period poverty is often not addressed in society. With BamPads!, we aim to provide a sustainable solution to menstruation which is safe for one's health, the environment and is affordable.

pad takes 500-800 years to decompose.

Women without access to pads use dirty rags, chicken feathers, cow dung, and other equally unhygienic methods for their periods.

Around 1.3 billion women lack access to basic sanitation and hygiene.
Our Project:
We have successfully held 2 workshops on period poverty and introduced the concept of sustainable periods. We plan to hold more workshops to introduce sustainable periods to women in Hong Kong and we also plan on selling reusable cloth pads. Around 20% of the profit earned will be used to provide sets of reusable pads to female refugees/women in poverty in Hong Kong.
